Gardener's Handbook

My mom read Frances Hodgson Burnett’s “The Secret Garden” to me when I was little, and the book made a lasting impact on me. It instilled in me my love for nature and the meandering mystery that comes with large, overgrown gardens. This collection is inspired by the feeling of being hidden away in a lush garden. It also alludes to the Arts and Crafts Movement, which had just swept through England and the US when the book was published in 1922.
